Go GREEN at Green Spot Antiques

Hi, I'm Wanda from Green Spot Antiques in Cambridge.
Vince's better half.
We have a great OLD Building, that was formerly Cedar Hill Dairy Galt. I spend my time here in the store, tending to customers, Dressing up the shop, making deals as they come thru the door, taking tons of photos for our website, Green Spot LIVE, E-Bay, etc.
I love having an Antique Shop, it's a lot of work, & fun too.
When we have new truck loads come in, it's just like Christmas. Opening up boxes to discover interesting, weird & wonderful things. Drop By when you are in the Cambridge Area, I am more then happy to serve you.

Hi Wanda! I haven't been on any of the ning networks much lately, except to take a peek maybe. I've been doing other things. I've been going to alot of estate sales, and garage sales, with a friend from work. She and I usually go after night shift, and then go for breakfast. We look for vintage, and useful things we can use. She bought a swivel rocker for her daughter's apt. for only $15.00, and it looked almost brand new! I mostly look for vintage. Today she bought a Xmas tree stand for $1.00! We are really going green! LOL

Hi Wanda. Just wanted to say that along with a tractor trailer load of oak bowling lane flooring from a friend, we are taking
down his 130 yr old huge barn. This will be in the spring. We will use a lot of the wood and hardware for a summer home and bunkies to rent out that we will build in or near Marmora, ON, when we find the right acreage to purchase.
There will no doubt be lots of hinges, fasteners, etc. left over that I plan on listing for sale next year. I will post here when I do. It's exciting!!

Hi Wanda! I have four of the head bust mannequins and one full sized mannequin that I bought from a lady in Texas who paints them to look like flappers. Two of the smaller ones are from the 1970's, and made of wood with plaster. The other ones are fiberglass. I wish I had a man's head bust too. Take care, Diane

Hello Wanda, I am still working on remodeling projects here at home. It has been a very rainy summer, got way behind in the lawn care...Now, that the weather is cooler, I can get out and pull all those weeds that I let get out of hand! Must admit, I have been playing with my hoard of light fixtures....fixing and bring them back to usefullness, which is what I like to do. That is why the yard really got out of hand. :-) LOL
I hope you had a pleasant summer...Thanks for getting in touch. Ann

Hi Wanda. Thanks for the contact. How was your summer?
we've been busy, hubby scored a bowling lane wood floor and is in final negotiations for a big barn. We plan to buy some property & build a lodge/living quarters with bunkies for family/guests. I am doing well with my Vintage shop

I haven't had much time to play in here or the other ning site I belong to, The Vintage Village.
FIL recently passed on, so we are busy getting things organized for the estate sale in late spring next year.
There are a lot of antiques here and I will post the date and address of the sale next spring, here in Binbrook.
Have a great Fall season.

Hi Wanda! I haven't been on alot of the ning sites I joined, so don't feel bad! I've been ignoring everyone! :O(
I've been designing and starting to list vintage on my own websites, which are interlinked.
I've only been buying small things at estate sales to sell online, as that is my only selling method now.
Take a look and let me know what you think.
Take care, Diane :O)
